Books by Sharon Arbuthnot

Sharon Arbuthnot holds a doctorate in medieval Irish and worked for almost ten years as a researcher and editor of the historical Dictionary of the Irish Language. Currently based at the University of Cambridge, she spends some of her time working on a cultural heritage project, called ‘Spreading the Words’, which aims to raise interest in the early language and tales of Ireland. She is one of the authors of A History of Ireland in 100 Words, which was published in 2019 and shortlisted that year for an Irish Book Award.
