Product Description
Scenic Ireland: The Province of Ulster takes the reader on a tour through each of Ulster's nine counties to enjoy its magnificent scenery while visiting sites of historic interest along the way.
The journey unfolds through over 150 stunning photographs taken by Ireland's leading landscape photographer, Chris Hill, and is annotated by his close friend and travelling companion, Colin McCadden. Research, planning and driving were all shared, as together they roamed the length and breadth of Ireland in a Campervan, allowing them to get off the beaten track and discover the most breathtaking scenery, at any hour, from dusk 'till dawn.
The tour begins in Antrim and travels westward through Londonderry and Donegal, continuing into Tyrone, Fermanagh, Cavan, Monaghan and Armagh, before ending in County Down. Bounded by some 400 miles of spectacular coastline, Ulster boasts a variety of lakes, glens, mountains, and boglands dressed in purple heather in the summer and wind-dried grasses in the autumn.
