Belfast began as a humble settlement beside an ancient ford over the River Lagan. Through the ages, the Celts, the Normans, the Scots and the English have left their mark. And as the centuries passed, the seeds of religious conflict were sown.
This documentary explores the early history of the city - up to the Act of Union, 1801 - and reveals the fascinating story of some of the people and events that helped shape the Belfast of today.
This is a really great DVD. I did enjoyed it. A must for anyone interested in Belfast history.
